19 Feb 2012 Alright, I shall not comment on the parking nightmare along ECP. Here's Cookie at the entrance posing for a shot. Big smile all over! While we were standing at the entrance waiting for Vincent to park his car (which took ages), an elderly lady approached us, stroked Cookie, and asked, "Is this dog up for adoption? She seems very gentle and calm." "No, she has been adopted by me," I replied, laughing. "And she's not that calm!" That was Cookie at her best behavior, which surprised me because usually she'll be distracted by so many people and dogs. Thinking that she's one of the dogs up for adoption, a guy came and checked her ears, while that elderly lady continued stroking Cookie's fur. Someone also came to take pictures of her. That's when I started to realize that waiting at the entrance was not a good idea. I walked around the booths to meet the mutts for adoption. Here's Starhub manja'ing a volunteer while Green Tea entered the 'kennel'. This is LeLe yawning. I enquired about the response and it seemed to be quite positive. Loads of potential adopters filled up the forms and now the volunteers will have a lengthy process of screening the adopters. But it'll be all worthwhile seeing these Specials go to good homes. Vincent finally made it 30 mins later and we headed straight to the Nikon photo booth by DeDamselfly. Other than the professional photographer, there was also a professional 'attention catcher' who made sure the dog looked at the direction of the camera. See the pair at work... He took just one shot and this is the result: Cookie actually has the biggest eyes in our family. @@ |
